The program works quietly in the background detecting and eliminating viruses, spyware and Internet worms. It also protects your computer against hackers and blocks identity theft by phishing websites. What is more, it gets rid of infections and cleans all files and registry entries added by malware. It also fights rootkits efficiently and successfully neutralize these infections. LiveUpdate is now integrated into Norton AntiVirus 2008, and once your product is installed you are asked to update.The application also features antivirus protection for email and instant messaging, thus preventing virus-infected files from spreading. Thanks to its new support system, now you can chat to a technician if you have a problem, though some services are now chargeable. Unlike other programs of the kind, its interface is not very intuitive or pleasing to the eye with sombre orange and black colour scheme which may not be to everybody’s taste. |
